GGPoker has opened a qualification pathway to the $50 million guaranteed WSOP Paradise Super Main Event that starts at literally zero. The WSOP Express step system, launched ahead of the December festival at Baha Mar in the Bahamas, includes free daily tickets and a novelty route that rewards players for being dealt pocket aces in cash games.
It is one of the more aggressive satellite programmes the operator has run, and it is aimed squarely at converting recreational traffic into Bahamas packages.
How the Steps Work
The WSOP Express system is a conventional ladder with an unconventional entry point.
Step 1 consists of All-In or Fold sit-and-gos starting from $0.50. Step 2 runs through Spin & Gold, GGPoker's three-handed lottery sit-and-go format. Step 3 is a Target Stack Turbo Tournament. Step 4 consists of $150 direct qualifiers that feed into the weekly Super Satellite Finals.
The Super Satellite Finals cost $2,500 to enter and guarantee 25 × $30,000 "Super Passes" each week — a stated $750,000 weekly guarantee.
Each Super Pass converts into a $30,000 WSOP Paradise package. The largest component is a $26,000 Day 1A entry to the $50 million guaranteed Super Main Event, plus 13 nights' accommodation at Baha Mar from December 5-18 and additional amenities.
The Free Entry Points
Three of the routes cost nothing.
Players can claim free WSOP Express tickets at Step 0, Step 1 and Step 2 simply by logging in daily and playing. That is a standard retention mechanic, and it means a player with no deposit can begin the climb.
The more unusual offer: once you have claimed your free daily ticket, you can claim a free Step 1 ticket by being dealt pocket aces in a cash game. Receive pocket aces three more times as your cash game hole cards and you bank a free Step 2 ticket.
It is a clever piece of promotion design. Pocket aces arrive roughly once every 221 hands, so the requirement is a function of volume rather than skill or luck — which is exactly what an operator wants from a promotion that runs alongside its cash games. The reward feels like a lucky break; the mechanism is a volume incentive.
For players, the honest framing is that these are genuinely free tickets with real, if small, expected value. They are also designed to get you playing more cash game hands than you otherwise would. Both things are true at once.
The Scale of Paradise 2026
WSOP Paradise has grown quickly into the second-largest event on the World Series calendar. The 2026 edition carries 20 bracelets and $120 million in total guarantees, headlined by the $50 million Super Main Event — a guarantee that would have been unthinkable for a non-Las Vegas WSOP festival five years ago.

A $26,000 buy-in Main Event with a $50 million guarantee needs roughly 2,000 entries to cover. Satellite volume is not a nice-to-have in that maths — it is structurally necessary. This is why the qualification programme is as generous as it is.
Satellite Value: The Honest Version
Satellites are frequently described as the best value in poker. That is true in a specific sense and misleading in another, and it is worth being precise.
Where satellites genuinely win: the prize structure is flat. In a satellite awarding 25 identical packages, there is no benefit to finishing first rather than 25th. That flatness means chip accumulation past the point of safety has near-zero value, and it means a disciplined short stack has far more equity than the chip count suggests. Players who understand this — and most do not — have a substantial structural edge over a field applying normal tournament instincts. Where satellites mislead: winning a $30,000 package is not the same as winning $30,000. The package is worth $30,000 only if you would otherwise have paid $26,000 to enter the Main Event and $4,000 for the trip. If you would not have, its cash value to you is whatever your expected return from the tournament is — which, for most recreational players, is meaningfully less than face value. Packages are also typically non-transferable.
That is not an argument against playing them. It is an argument for knowing what you are actually competing for before you commit a month of volume to the ladder.
What This Means for Players
Play satellites differently from tournaments. Flat payout structures invert normal strategy. Survival is worth more, marginal all-ins are worth less, and the bubble is where almost all the equity is decided. If you play a satellite the way you play a regular MTT, you are leaking badly. Free tickets are free equity — take them. The daily login tickets and pocket-aces rewards cost nothing beyond activity you may already be undertaking. Claim them. The discipline is in not manufacturing volume you would not otherwise play in order to qualify for them.
Step ladders compound variance. A four-step ladder means winning four tournaments in sequence. Even at a 15% win rate per step — generous — the compounded probability of climbing from Step 1 to a package is low single digits. The ladder is not a plan; it is a lottery ticket with better odds than most. Budget accordingly, and read our bankroll management guide before committing serious volume.
Direct entry is sometimes cheaper. For players with the roll, buying into the $2,500 Super Satellite Final directly and skipping the ladder is often better value than grinding steps, because each step you skip removes a round of variance. Calculate your realistic all-in cost of laddering before assuming the cheap route is the cheap route.
