The Short Answer
Mississippi does not have legal, regulated online poker. Mississippi has one of the most developed casino industries in the US: 26 licensed casinos in three coastal and riverboat regions (Gulf Coast/Biloxi, Tunica/Robinsonville, and Vicksburg/Natchez). The Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) is one of the most experienced regulators in the country. Retail sports betting is legal; mobile sports betting is limited to on-property only.
Mississippi players who want to play online poker access offshore operators. The PokerSites.org review team's top picks for Mississippi players in May 2026 are BetOnline Poker and Bovada Poker.

Mississippi Online Poker Legal Status
Current Law
Mississippi Code § 75-76 (Mississippi Gaming Control Act) governs casino gambling. The MGC oversees regulation. § 97-33 covers gambling offenses. Mississippi notably does not allow statewide mobile sports betting — bets must be placed on casino property or within a certain geofenced radius. No statute addresses online poker.
Legislative Outlook
Mississippi has the casino infrastructure and regulatory experience for igaming but has shown no legislative appetite for it. The state's 26 casinos generate substantial land-based revenue, and operators have not lobbied for online expansion. Mobile sports betting remains property-restricted. iGaming is not on the legislative radar. Most analysts do not expect movement before 2030.
