Maine Online Poker Legal Status
Current Law
Maine Revised Statutes Title 17, Chapter 62 governs gambling. The Gambling Control Unit within the Department of Public Safety oversees regulation. Maine legalized sports betting under LD 585 (2022), which launched in late 2023/early 2024. No statute addresses online poker.
Legislative Outlook
Maine is a small-market state with limited gambling infrastructure. Sports betting launched recently, and the state is unlikely to pursue igaming in the near term. No realistic timeline for iPoker exists.
