Kansas Online Poker Legal Status
Current Law
Kansas Expanded Lottery Act (K.S.A. 74-8733 et seq.) authorizes four state-owned casinos. The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission (KRGC) oversees regulation. K.S.A. 21-6403 covers gambling offenses and targets operators. Sports betting was authorized under SB 84 (2022). No statute addresses online poker.
Legislative Outlook
Kansas is a small-market state with a modest gambling industry. Sports betting launched in 2022, but the state's four casinos are state-owned (an unusual model). iGaming has not been discussed in the legislature. Most analysts do not expect movement before 2030.
