The Short Answer

Saskatchewan participates in PlayNow, the government-run online gambling platform operated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and extended to Saskatchewan through the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) and Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC). PlayNow offers a limited poker product alongside casino games and sports betting. Offshore operators like TigerGaming and BetOnline are also widely accessible and provide larger player pools and better tournament schedules.

Best Poker Sites for Saskatchewan Players (August 2026)

1. PlayNow โ€” Government-Licensed Option

PlayNow is the only provincially licensed online poker option for Saskatchewan players. The poker product runs on a shared player pool with British Columbia and Manitoba. Liquidity is limited โ€” expect cash games only at low stakes (NL5โ€“NL10) during peak hours.

  • Government-backed player fund protection
  • Interac deposits and withdrawals
  • Robust responsible gambling tools
  • Very small poker player pool

2. TigerGaming โ€” Best Offshore Option

TigerGaming runs on the Chico Poker Network โ€” the same network as BetOnline โ€” giving Saskatchewan players access to a solid international player pool with reliable crypto banking and Interac support.

  • 100% deposit match up to $1,000
  • Chico Poker Network with 24/7 action at all stakes
  • Fast crypto withdrawals in 18-36 hours

Saskatchewan Online Poker Legal Status

The Criminal Code of Canada (Section 206โ€“209) governs gambling at the federal level. Provinces have constitutional authority to license gambling. Saskatchewan's gambling is regulated by the Saskatchewan Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority (SLGA). PlayNow is the only provincially licensed online platform. No Canadian law criminalizes individual players for using offshore poker sites.
