Running December 2 through December 17, WSOP Paradise now functions as the third and final leg of the World Series of Poker's global calendar — and, critically, as the tournament that will decide the 2026 WSOP Player of the Year race.
For a festival that only launched in 2023, the growth curve has been steep. What started as an experimental winter offshoot has become the WSOP's second-biggest guarantee package behind the Las Vegas summer itself.
The Move From Atlantis to Baha Mar
The headline structural change is the venue. WSOP Paradise has relocated from Atlantis Paradise Island — its home since inception — to Baha Mar, the sprawling Cable Beach resort complex on New Providence.
This is not a cosmetic swap. Atlantis was always a compromise for a festival of this scale, with tournament space carved out of convention rooms that were never designed to seat several thousand poker players comfortably. Baha Mar's convention footprint is significantly larger, which matters when your flagship event carries a $50 million guarantee and needs to accommodate multiple starting flights running deep into the night.
Players who attended the previous editions consistently flagged the same complaints: cramped seating, long registration queues, and a room layout that made it difficult to track deep-run action. A larger venue does not automatically fix any of that, but it removes the hard physical ceiling that was capping field sizes.
The $26,000 Super Main Event and Its $50M Guarantee
Event #13, the $26,000 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event, is once again the centrepiece with a $50 million guarantee attached. To hit that number the tournament needs roughly 2,000 entries — a demanding ask at a buy-in level that filters out most of the recreational field.
Notably, the Super Main Event buy-in has come down from previous editions, a signal that the WSOP is prioritising field size over headline buy-in prestige. That is a rational read of the market. High roller fields have been thinning across the circuit as the pool of players willing to fire six-figure buy-ins contracts, while the $10K-$25K band has stayed comparatively healthy thanks to satellite qualification and staking markets.

A $20 million guarantee at a $10K buy-in requires around 2,100 entries with re-entries counted. The 2026 edition introduces cryptocurrency to a live WSOP festival for the first time in a meaningful way. Players will have the option to buy into WSOP Paradise tournaments using Solana, with crypto cashouts also expected to be available.
This is a genuinely significant development, and not only for the crypto-curious. Expect all three contenders — and likely a handful of players further down the leaderboard — to register aggressively across the full 20-event slate rather than cherry-picking. That behaviour tends to soften fields in the smaller bracelet events, because POY grinders are playing volume rather than optimising each individual tournament's field quality.
Deeb has won POY twice, in 2018 and 2025. A third would put him in genuinely rare company.

Satellite early. The best value in a $120 million festival is almost never buying in directly. Respect the bankroll math. A $10K event is a shot for most players, not a staple.
