Kgbseven Wins CoinMillion in First Cash

By jason-murphyยทOctober 27, 2026ยท6 min read

A player with no previous cashes on CoinPoker has just won one of the room's flagship tournaments. Kgbseven took down the CoinMillion on October 18, 2026 for $120,500, according to PokerListings, and it was his first recorded cash on the site. He had previously entered only the $250 The One and the $109 Big Kahuna, without finishing in the money. The result is a neat illustration of how CoinMillion has become a regular source of six-figure scores for players who might never have appeared on a leaderboard, and it lands just as CoinPoker prepares for a much bigger run of tournaments.

The Result

The event drew 4,891 entries. Kgbseven started the final table in the bottom half of the chip counts, which is often where lucky heaters begin, and worked his way to heads-up against whalefish. He offered a deal at that stage, which whalefish declined. The decision ultimately cost whalefish, who finished second for $76,900, a gap of $43,600 from first prize.

Place Player Prize
1 Kgbseven $120,500
2 whalefish $76,900
3 Dosesmimosas $55,700
4 JosePizzuti $40,500
5 Enzymes $29,700
6 SMARMELLOW $22,100
7 BabyBoy483 $16,800

Third-place finisher Dosesmimosas also had no previous cashes on the site before this event, so the final table included two players making their first-ever CoinPoker money. That is an unusual feature and shows how open a large-field event can be to newcomers.

CoinMillion by the Numbers

The article includes a table of recent winners, which allows a useful look at how the event has performed this year:

Winner Prize Entries Date
DaniC1994 $126,500 4,278 May 10
monc $121,500 4,784 Jul 12
PuraSuerte69 $80,741* 3,856 Aug 10
fish2025 $119,500 4,986 Sep 6
FINALVERDICT7 $123,979 5,321 Sep 13
GBortoleto $96,494* 5,181 Sep 20
TheKingofCatrupe $80,896* 5,404 Sep 27
Kgbseven $120,500 4,891 Oct 18

PokerListings marks three of the prizes with an asterisk but does not explain what it means. A plausible reading is that those winners took part in a deal or an adjusted payout, but that is a guess and the source does not say so.

Adding up the eight entry figures gives 38,701, an average of about 4,838 per edition. The eight first prizes total $870,110, an average of about $108,800. The two highest fields were in September, with 5,321 and 5,404 entries, suggesting the event has attracted bigger fields as it moved to a more regular schedule. CoinMillion now runs weekly on Sundays, and the next edition after this one was set for October 25. The most recent field of 4,891 is close to the long-run average, so there is no sign of a drop-off.

Why First-Time Cashers Win These Events

A field of nearly 5,000 players is a lottery with a skill component. In a tournament of this size, the winner usually has to survive more than a dozen levels, win several all-ins and avoid big mistakes. The average player's chance of winning is roughly one in 4,891, regardless of skill. Better players improve those odds, but not by an order of magnitude. That is why tournaments with huge fields regularly produce first-time cashers as champions.

The format also rewards patience and flexibility. Kgbseven started the final table short, so he needed to double up multiple times. Short-stack strategy at a final table is often straightforward: pick spots, shove with the right range and avoid calling off without a strong reason. Our guide to poker strategy covers push-fold basics, and our ICM explainer explains why stack size changes the value of chips at a final table. The decline of the deal is also instructive: heads-up deals are common in live play, but online they are less common and depend on the platform's rules.

The Satellite Route

CoinMillion's direct satellites carry buy-ins from $12.50 to $44, which means a player can qualify with a fraction of the buy-in. If you are playing a tournament for the first time, satellites reduce your up-front cost and give you a chance to experience a high-guarantee event. They also carry their own variance and rake, so treat them as one option among many. Our tournaments hub lists guarantees across sites, and our bankroll management guide explains how to size your buy-ins.

A Teaser for What Comes Next

The most interesting part of the article is a hint. On October 19, CoinPoker teased a new event with the message "It all begins this November," and the image showed partial logos for PGT, Knockout Online, Masters, Super High Roller and PLO. That teaser has since been confirmed: CoinPoker announced a partnership with the PokerGO Tour to run six online PGT series with $250 million in guarantees between November 2026 and November 2027. Our full breakdown is in PGT Goes Online on CoinPoker: $250M GTD. The first series, PGT Kickoff Online, starts November 8 and includes a $5 million guaranteed Main Event, so CoinMillion fields will provide a useful benchmark for what the room can attract.

What This Means for Players

Do not read too much into one result. A first cash that is also a win is exciting, but it is mostly variance. If you are new to a crypto poker platform, the best approach is to start small and build experience.

Understand the platform. CoinPoker is a crypto-focused room, so payments, withdrawals and security work differently from traditional fiat sites. Our crypto poker and Bitcoin poker guides explain how deposits and cashouts work, and our safe poker sites page lists what to check. For a crypto-native alternative with an approved review, see our BC Poker review.

Think about deals. Whalefish declined a heads-up deal and finished second. That is not necessarily a mistake, since a deal reflects chip counts and skill; the right choice depends on the stacks and your read of the opponent. Learn how to evaluate deals using ICM before you face the decision.

Plan for variance. Winning a $120,500 first prize in a 4,891-entry field is rare. For most players the more realistic goal is to cash regularly and make steady progress. Read our real money poker guide for tips on building a sustainable approach.

Final Word

Kgbseven's win is a good story and a useful data point. It shows that CoinMillion is drawing consistent six-figure first prizes and large fields, and that newcomers can and do go deep. With a year-long run of PGT series about to begin, the room is about to find out how much more demand there is for its biggest tournaments.
