Using preflop charts without becoming dependent on them
Preflop charts are a legitimate starting scaffold, but memorizing them cell by cell produces a player who can recite a range and still misplays it the moment stack depth or table dynamics shift slightly from the chart's assumptions. Short-term win rate is too noisy to judge a single study block, but a leak metric that improves and holds is a real signal.
