CoinPoker 2.0: High Stakes & Mystery Bounty

By jason-murphyยทNovember 6, 2026ยท7 min read

CoinPoker 2.0 is the crypto poker room's biggest software update of the year, adding high stakes cash games, Mystery Bounty tournaments and private games to the lobby. PokerListings covered the rollout on November 2, 2026, and the details show a room trying to compete directly with the largest names in online poker rather than stay a niche crypto option.

For players who use crypto poker sites, the update is worth a close look. It touches stakes, rake, tournament formats, social features and even a prediction-market product. Here is a full breakdown of what is new and what it means at the tables.

High Stakes Cash Games Arrive

The headline feature is a dedicated High Stakes section with limits running from $50/$100 up to $5,000/$10,000. That is a serious range, reaching well into the territory usually associated with the biggest private games in the world.

CoinPoker described several features designed to make the tables attractive to wealthy players and professionals:

  • Players can join without waiting lists.
  • Players can remove up to 250 big blinds from their stacks without leaving the table, a feature that gives high stakes players more control over how much money is at risk.
  • A minimum VPIP is required, which is meant to keep the games active and discourage players who sit for long periods without playing hands.
  • The room promises "the highest possible rewards" for these players, though it does not specify what they are.

Five player guidelines also apply: start games promptly, respect seating position, do not break tables (stay at least two orbits), do not intentionally short-stack, and act promptly. Those rules are common in high stakes lobbies and are aimed at keeping action flowing.

Rake Structure

For anyone judging the value of a poker room, rake is where the real answer lies. The high stakes games use a 5 percent rake with these caps, expressed in big blinds:

  • Full-ring no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha, heads-up: 0.5 BB
  • Full-ring NLHE and PLO, three or more players: 0.6 BB
  • Heads-up NLHE: 0.5 BB
  • Heads-up PLO: 0.4 BB
  • All-in or Fold NLHE: 0.10 BB
  • All-in or Fold PLO: 0.08 BB
  • Heads-up Battle Cap: 0.05 BB for both NLHE and PLO

Because the caps are tied to big blinds rather than fixed dollar amounts, the rake scales with the stakes. At $5,000/$10,000 even a 0.5 BB cap is a large sum per pot, but the percentage is in line with what high stakes players would expect. The very low caps on All-in or Fold and Heads-up Battle formats are the most player-friendly numbers in the list and could attract short-session and heads-up specialists.

Mystery Bounty Tournaments Come to CoinPoker

The second major addition is Mystery Bounty tournaments. The format works like this: random bounties become available once the tournament reaches the money. After the bubble, eliminations can award either a regular bounty or a larger Gold Bounty.

Regular Mystery Bounty tournaments are not yet in the lobby, according to PokerListings, but two PGT Online events scheduled for November 15 will use the format:

  • $55 PGT Mystery Kickoff: $200,000 guaranteed
  • $530 PGT Mystery Million: $1,000,000 guaranteed

Mystery Bounty has become one of the most popular tournament structures of the past few years because it creates a lottery-like payout structure that appeals to recreational players while still rewarding skill. Our tournaments page lists the key formats to know, and we cover the strategy in more detail in our Mystery Bounty strategy guide on the site.

Private Cash Games

Private games let players create their own tables and invite friends. CoinPoker's version offers:

  • Games: no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha with four, five or six cards, and Short Deck
  • Table sizes: heads-up to 6-max
  • Stakes: $0.01/$0.02 up to $50/$100
  • Options: Bomb Pots and mandatory hole-card reveals

There is also a referral system. Players can obtain a link from the Refer a Friend option in the username dropdown and earn a tiered weekly commission on their referrals' rake, advertised at up to 12.5 percent.

Private games have been a growth area for several operators because they allow home-game style play with the safety of an online platform. Bomb pots and hole-card reveals are features that streamers and content creators like, since they produce exciting hands. The referral commission also gives influential players a financial reason to bring their communities onto the site.

Interface and Gameplay Changes

The update goes well beyond the new game types. PokerListings listed these gameplay changes:

  • A Card Squeeze animation
  • Reorganized multi-tabling
  • Player Tags for famous regulars and professionals
  • Mouse-wheel bet sizing
  • New sit-out options: after the next big blind, next hand, or straddle

On the interface side, there is a refreshed lobby, notes and HUD, and tournament lobby changes including bubble protection indicators, faster loading and refreshed trophies. Multi-tabling and bet-sizing improvements matter most to grinders who play many tables at once, where small time savings add up to meaningful volume.

Prediction Markets and Casino Games

CoinPoker 2.0 also includes two non-poker products:

  • CoinMarkets: a prediction market covering sports, crypto and portfolio events. One poker market asks whether the APT Championship Main Event prize pool will exceed $5 million.
  • Uniques (by CoinStudio): casino-style games including BlackJack, Color Game, PokerRush and Dead Flip. Eligible games are reported to offer up to 99 percent RTP plus 1 percent wager back.

The inclusion of prediction markets reflects an industry-wide trend. Operators are experimenting with event contracts and sportsbook-style products to keep users engaged beyond the poker tables. If you are interested in the betting side, our sportsbooks guide compares the best options.

What This Means for Players

High stakes players have another option. The no-wait-list model and the 250 big blind removal feature are designed to keep wealthy players comfortable. If the site builds enough liquidity at these limits, it could pull some action away from established rooms. See our high stakes page for more on where the biggest games run.

Crypto players get more variety. Mystery Bounty events and private games bring CoinPoker closer to the feature sets of major sites. For players who prefer to deposit with digital assets, more formats mean fewer reasons to leave. Our Bitcoin poker guide explains how deposits and withdrawals work.

Compare before you commit. Crypto-native rooms differ in licensing, game integrity and withdrawal speeds. Read the safe poker sites checklist, and consider alternatives like BC Poker, a crypto-native room with an Anjouan license and provably fair dealing.

Watch the rake. A 5 percent rake with capped big-blind amounts is competitive at high stakes, but make sure you understand how rewards are paid. Vague promises of "the highest possible rewards" are not a substitute for published numbers.

The Bottom Line

CoinPoker 2.0 is a significant expansion. High stakes tables up to $5,000/$10,000, Mystery Bounty tournaments, private games with referral commissions and a redesigned interface give the site a much broader appeal. The real test will be liquidity: stakes that high only work if enough players are willing to sit and play. If the site can fill those tables, it will have taken a meaningful step toward the top tier of online poker. If not, the update will still be a useful improvement for the mid-stakes players who make up most of the community.
